Netware Instructions:
Instructions
- Verify Java Runtime (JRE):
FRP requires a Java Runtime Environment (JRE) version 1.4.2 or higher installed on your Netware sever. Most probably that your Netware server already has a JRE installed, you can verify that by simply opening a Terminal window and type:
java -version
If you don't have Java on your Netware server, please look at the Novell web site for instructions on how to install Java. - Download the frpro.jar file. The frpro.jar file has a JAR extension, but IE saves it as a ZIP file. Firefox and Mozilla save the JAR file properly. If you are using IE, rename the downloaded file to frpro.jar
- Copy the frpro.jar file to a NetWare share and from a NetWare console run the following command:
- Follow the installation wizard.
- Verify Startup Scripts (NCF files):
The installer should create three important NetWare NCF files in FRP home directory:
FRPHelp.NCFFRPMgmt.NCFFRPRep.NCFPlease verify that these files have been created.
- Optional steps:
By putting the three NCF files in SYS:\System you can start FRP by just typing
FRPReporFRPMgmtorFRPHelpat the Netware system console. You can also edit your autoexec.ncf to automatically start these 3 NCFs when your system comes up.
"java
-jar sys:\frpro.jar"
Be sure to use the correct path to the frpro.jar file
